FIRST ENTRY IN HOUSING FIELD
- During her college years, Ann got involved in the tenants rights movement and became a housing advocate believing that shelter -- decent, safe and sanitary housing -- is a basic right of every American.
- As a junior, she did research for the Boston Public Housing Authority.
- In her senior year, she developed and taught a course on Federal Housing Policies and Programs.
- Her first post-college job was as a Housing Planner for Metro Dade County Florida Planning Department.

- Executive Director of Twin Cities Neighborhood Housing Services, an alliance of local nonprofit neighborhood housing services (NHS) organizations working to promote home ownership, community reinvestment and neighborhood stabilization through various affordable housing programs and redevelopment activities.
- Founder and President of Community Solutions, a consulting business offering a range of services to local nonprofit organizations and small businesses from grantwriting to financial management, from leadership training to strategic planning, from market analysis and research to project feasibility studies.
- Director of CANDO Program for Minnesota Department of Trade and Economic Development. Developed a comprehensive leadership training program for emerging community-based organizations.
- Employer Relations Director for Cooperating Fund Drive, an alternative fund supporting social change organizations. Responsible for gaining access to new workplace payroll giving programs .
